WELCOME TO THE CUYAHOGA FALLS OKTOBERFEST
In 1979, councilman Bill Lowe introduced a resolution in City Council establishing The Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest. The first one was held the first weekend in October 1980.
Oktoberfest was the first festival ever held on the Front Street Mall (now Riverfront Square). It started a tradition of events that includes Rockin' on the River, The Irish-American Festival, the Italian-American Festival, The Rib Roast , and other expositions that attract thousands of people to Cuyahoga Falls from Memorial Day until the first weekend in October.
In the 28 years of its existence, Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest has raised nearly $1,000,000 that has been contributed back to the city (3 river tour boats) and to various local service organizations and charities. The Oktoberfest Committee has each year given scholarship grants to at least 4 deserving high school seniors for their college educations.
Please join us this year and help us make this year's festival a success.
